Which is more advantageous for twin-screw air compressors and single-screw air compressors?
- 2018-08-13-

Twin-screw air compressor and single-screw air compressor which have more advantages, in fact, they have their own advantages and disadvantages, Xiaobian summed up, everyone can be a reference!

1. Structural aspects:

The twin-screw air compressor has fewer moving parts and simple structure. The rigidity of the male rotor is higher than that of the female rotor, but the male rotor also bears most of the load. The rigid load ratio of the male and female rotor is close, the deformation is uniform, and the volume coefficient is high. The single-screw air compressor has three rotating shafts, the moving parts are increased, the structure is relatively complicated, the rigidity of the screw and the star wheel piece are large, and the deformation is uneven, so the accuracy of the toothing is difficult to ensure, and the volumetric efficiency is slightly lower.

2. Technically:

The single-screw air compressor has no twin-screw maturity, no relevant industry standards and Chinese standards. The machine has the right to explain the fault to the air compressor manufacturer. The twin-screw air compressor must meet the Chinese standard and industry standard GB8542, TB/T6430. The single-screw air compressor meshes with the two star wheels to compress the air through a single screw, and the three directly contact each other, resulting in a serious friction between the star wheel and the rotor. (The material of the single-screw star wheel is a resin material, so the star wheel and the screw When the meshing operation is easy to wear, the resin foam is mixed into the oil of the main machine, and the air compressor is prone to high temperature and shutdown. The use time is not long, the internal leakage of the machine head is large, and the exhaust volume is reduced. The twin-screw is engaged by the male and female rotors, and there is an oil film between the two rotors without direct contact, the friction is small, and the displacement does not change with time.

3. Failure rate:

The twin screw air compressor has a low failure rate, and the rotor has no direct friction between the rotor casings. The yin and yang rotors are evenly deformed and the failure rate is extremely low. Single screw due to star wheel wear, uneven deformation and insufficient machining accuracy are the main causes of failure

4. Materials:

The twin-screw air compressor has a toothed movement between the rotors. The instantaneous relative movement direction of the toothed belts has no friction in the normal direction. There is no special requirement for the materials, and ordinary materials and ordinary heat treatment can meet the needs.
